Light base
File: LightBase.stl
Suggested colour: Flat Black, maybe Green
Print Options:
Auto Orient (seems to import lying down)
Print Sequence: By Object (otherwise printer jerks all over the place and stuffs up print)
Fill bed with copies (you will need one for each LED Light, plus a few spares, as they are a bit fragile, maybe delete some if you end up with way too many)
Note: on my Creality K1 the supplied ‘Extruder Clearance’ is wrong and hence with every new Light Base the extruder knocks a previous one flying. Not much of an issue as they are so small and light, so nothing to worry about really.
Total Filament: 0.1m (Each)
Print Time (Creality K1): 2m 36s (Each)
You need one of these for each LED Light.
You slide one of these over the top of each Light, the end with the two holes first, and gently push down.
Then place a piece of ‘firmish’ insulated wire trough the two holes, between the wires from the light, so as to prevent the base from coming off the Light.
If making a table runner, just bend a bit of the wire around the base.
If you are hanging the lights use a bit more wire to enabling anchoring it to a tree branch, assuming you are hanging the lights in a Christmas Tree.
